Match report The potters faced chalfont St. Peter on a rare sunny day at the goosecroft. The team was vastly different to the previous week with 7 changes. The potters won the toss and elected to bat first on a good looking track.
Some good early bowling from chalfont brought about a wicket in the first over with Alex falling lbw. Le and dan then batted well to record a 100+ partnership. Once Lemar was out, dan soon followed. The skipper came in at 4 and together with George they accelerated the innings with the potters ending their innings 233 for 6 from 52 overs.
The potters picked up an early wicket in the chalfont reply but that was the only bright spot in the next period of play. The skipper decided to take responsibility and ended up bowling 19.2 overs from the bottom end. Nev an his 1st team debut picked up 2 in 2 balls to get the potters back in it. In the end chalfont won by 2 wickets hitting the winning runs in the last over.
Great effort by the lads considering the problems with availability this week. 14 points was a very satisfactory return.
