Match report The potters faced a must win game against bottom placed hillingdon manor at the goosecroft. The forecast looked very dodgy so chances of getting this win looked bleak.
The hillingdon skipper won the toss and elected to bat first on a green looking track. The potters bowlers all settled in to a good line and length and scoring was very limited. There was a steady fall of wickets and things were looking good for the potters until the expected rain came. We all thought this was match over as the forecast was for more rain for the rest of the evening. Luckily this did not happen.
We managed to carry on without losing any overs and in the end hillingdon scored 161 all out from 51.2 overs.
After a gorgeous tea the potters started their chase. We lost the skipper and reebs quite early on but Hanes and Robbie set about the target in confident mood. They both nearly reached their half centuries but just fell short. Brief cameos from Rahu, jack and Caleb saw us over the line for a 4 wicket win.
A good result as this win was much needed to help keep us in touch with the other mid table teams.
