Match report A good first run out for the Under 9's in our annual friendly away to T&T. With a team fielding 6 debutants, skipper James Leach lost the toss and T&T elected to bat. T&T fielded an extra batting pair and reached 263-5 from their 18 overs. Wides been by far the highest scorer. Pick of the bowlers was Jack Furnell whose first over was a double wicket maiden, finishing with figures of 2-2-0-2. In reply the Young Potters amassed 284-3 from their 15 overs. Oliver Clift impressed on debut with 9 runs from 8 balls and the last pair Jude Jackson and Jack Furnell put on an amazing 33 in their 3 overs, with Jude scoring 12 and Jack bludjeoning 21. A very pleasing start and a good warm up for more challenging games to come, but we really need to work on not bowling wides. Well done fellas.
