Match report A top of the table clash with both sides unbeaten, and unfortunately we came out second best. Kidmore End won the toss and put us in. Max (23) and James Denton (29) put us in a good position at 60-0 from 10 overs. However, once they both fell we lost our way a little and could not push on and get the 120-130 that would have been a good score on a very dry pitch. We ended on 95-5 from our 20 overs. They bowled and fielded very well, and 95 always looked too few to defend, especially when their opener plundered 15 off the first over. He raced to 27 before Tom Wheeler had him caught by Max at mid-on. Adam Khan bowled superb (4-0-10-2), and we did reduce them to 42-4. However, number 5 batsman came in and played a few excellent shots for 6's, and the number 6 hit a flurry of 4's in the 15th and 16th over to win them the game with 4.2 overs to spare. We were well beaten by a good side, so cannot get too disheartened. If we win our last game next week we should finish 2nd and go through to the knockout stages.
