Match report Another superb fielding performance gave us a comprehensive win for the second week running. We started the game at 2pm and the skipper won the toss and chose to bat. A good start of 26 suddenly became 54-4 in the 18th over and the skipper's decision to back his batters was looking dubious. However, a very assured innings from young Rob Clarke (33) took us to 92. We were then 97-7 when Nufail came to the crease to join Pat Daniels. Nufail played superb for his maiden half-century for the club and was last man out for 56, with our total on 164. A fantastic tea followed and the boys had a good total to bowl at. They say "catches win matches" and this was evident once again today. We took 6 catches and 5 of them were stunning catches. The bowlers all bowled superbly with Pahi taking 3-11 from his first bowl of the season. The skipper gave the ball to father and son Kevin and James Denton to see who could get the last wicket. 15 year old James came up trumps, trapping their skipper LBW, and we had bowled them out for 61, winning by 103 runs. We missed out on 1 batting point, but the skipper was more than happy with 34 points to keep us in the top 3. Another Saturday where the skipper was extremely proud of every person in the team. Great effort boys, long may it continue.
