Match report Another fantastic win by the 3rds today to keep us as serious promotion candidates this year. The skipper lost the toss and on a boiling hot day it was no surprise that they chose to bat first. We started superbly with Harry getting a wicket with his 3rd ball. We then had them 49-4 in the 13th over before a 32 run 5th wicket partnership threatened a big score. Nufail got the breakthrough with Harry taking a smart catch at square leg. Nufail (3-26) and Pahi (3-29) bowled well to restrict them to 96-9 in the 26th over. They added 21 runs for the last wicket before Mazhar got the number 11 to loop a catch to James Denton at point. We bowled them out for 117 in the 30th over, so had to go out for 13 overs before tea. We reached 49-1 at tea, and then Kevin Denton (49), Mazhar (27) and Pahi (17no) saw us home in the 25th over for a 6 wicket win, and 32 points. A great win and superb effort from all the lads.
