Match report Another great performance from the boys on a scorching hot day. Luckily the skipper won the toss and of course chose to bat. He sent out father and son Kevin and James Denton, and they batted superbly to reach 105 before James fell for 46. Kevin and Kirwin (32) put together a 75 partnership before Kevin fell for an excellent 81. Kirwin and Pahi were out and the skipper sent in Nufail to join young James Mugford. James played some lovely shots before falling lbw for 23, his highest adult score. Nufail took over and hit some massive shots on his way to a fantastic 25 ball 50. The next ball he was brilliantly caught one handed just in front of the boundary. The skipper then declared with us on 286-7 in the 40th over. We started very well and they were 19-4 but then put together a few good partnerships to worry us a little. We kept plugging away, and the youngsters Oli Chatwin (1-11) and Adam Khan (0-17) bowled well, but it was left to Harry to get the final wicket in the 39th over to complete another good game for him with 4-35. Another 35 points to keep us top of the table. Keep up the good work boys.
