Match report Purley on Thames clinched the division four championship in dramatic style as we won off the last ball of the day. Bradfield won the toss and elected to field on a miserable day. Kevin Denton was the rock as he battled his way to 62 before he was fourth out for 62 with the score on 122. Pahi and Nufail took the score onto 155 when they had both fallen to leave us on 155 for 6 a few spirited late hits took the score to 195 for 9 off 45 overs. Rob Holman and Faz Mohammed tore into the Bradfield top order with some good bowling and with excellent catching by James and Kevin Denton left them on 78 for 5. Chaco and Wilson led the recovery but the 58 run partnership was finally broken by Nufail as he had Chacko caught on the long off boundary by Harry Bell for 38. Bradfield were 166 for 9 going into the final over, the first five were kept out by John Bargeant but in the gloom that was lit up by the festival lights Kevin finally got through his defences to seal a last ball, 29 run and championship winning victory!
