Match report A very disappointing batting display saw us lose our quarter final game away to Slough. James Denton won the toss and chose to bat and once him(4) and James Mugford(2) were out early we struggled with not a single person reaching double figures. There were two very silly run-outs and poor shot selections from some of the boys to lose their wickets far too easily. Only Tom Wheeler, coming in at number 9, and top-scoring with 9no showed any resistance. We were bowled out for 42 in the 18th over. The boys had to show some pride in the field, and to their credit they did that. We bowled quite well, and took 3 good catches to dimiss 4 of their batsman. However, they reached the target of 43 in the 12th over for a comfortable victory. A very disappointing end to the season, but we had quite a number of boys who experienced league cricket for the first time this year, so hopefully they will kick on next year.
