Theale & Tilehurst v Purley on Thames CC Saturday 1st XI on Sat 30 Aug 2014 at 12:30pm
Purley on Thames CC Won by 6 wickets
Match report
The Potters took the short journey to local rivals Theale and Tilehurst for this weeks TVL fixture. On a typical Theale track the Potters skipper called correctly and elected to bowl first.
The Potters opening attack bowled consistently and scoring was difficult. The Theale openers put on 30 for the 1st wicket but as soon as the first wicket fell the rest followed very quickly. Theale were all out for 76 in 34.4 overs. Reebs took 4 wickets, Caleb 2, Cyril 2, Rahu 1 and there was 1 run out.
The Potters began the chase striaght away and the dangerous De Cros removed Dan Clark 2nd ball. De Cros also removed Gautham and the skipper for 15. 1 further wicket fell but Reebs (41 not out) and Rahu saw us home to secure a 6 wicket win and 20 points.
Same again next week!!!
