Match report Skipper Joe Durcan won the toss and asked Sonning & Charvil to bat first. The skipper opened the bowling and in his first over ripped out the S&C top order taking 3 wickets for 3 runs. Excellent support for Joe Booker (3-0-5-0), Owen Raw (2-0-4-1)and Jimmy Coggs (2-0-8-1) restricted the visitors to 26 for 6. Wayward bowling let S&C back into the game until Ollie Clift (2-1-2-0) and James Leach (2-1-2-0) pegged the visitors back to 63 for 5 from their 20 overs.
In reply The Potters got off to the worst possible start with Joe Durcan being bowled from the 2 ball, before James Leach (18) and Joe Pollard (12 not out) batted beautifully rotating the strike with some excellent running and some lovely shots. Jimmy came in at the end and batted sensibly for 6 not out to see the home team over the line. An excellent victory, with some good batting and bowling, however we need to work hard on bowling line and length and not giving away so many wides. Sorry to those boys that didn't get a bat today, but hey that's cricket.
