Purley on Thames CC Saturday 3rd XI v Twyford on Sat 21 Jun 2014 at 13:30
Purley on Thames CC Won by 8 wickets
Match report
A very good win for the 3rds today. The skipper was away so Kirwin took over and won the toss. He put them in, and the lads bowled and fielded superbly, bowling Twyford out in the 37th over for 97. The wickets were shared by Harry (2-19), Rob (2-16), Nufail (2-14) and one each for Pahi and Rifas. Arshad bowled superb, returning figures of 8-5-3-1. Kirwin opened with 16year old James Denton, and after the skipper was bowled without scoring, Pahi joined James and together they put on a match-winning partnership. Pahi was out for 20, and Arshad (11no) then helped James to reach 98-2 in the 27th over, with James ending 50 not out, a brilliant innings.
