Match report A full match played at last! Although nothing changed at the toss with the skipper losing again and being put into bat. The two youngsters Kieran Barrett (19) and James Denton opened the innings and gave us a good start of 48 before Kieran was caught. Kirwin soon followed for nought, which bought Arshad to the crease. Him and James put on 119 to take us to 172 before Arshad was bowled for a very good 63. The skipper came in and tried to help young James to his century. However, James was bowled for a fantastic 86, and I am sure it will not be long before he gets a maiden century. Khan came in and blasted a quickfire 25no, to take our score to 247-6 off 45 overs. They opened well and Harry and Khan could not get a breakthrough. We remained patient and got wickets in spells, with Arshad (2-14), Nufail (3-14), and Junees (1-23) the pick of our bowlers. Pat Daniels took two good catches behind the stumps but we ran out of overs and they held out for a draw, scoring 150-8 off 45 overs. A good 26 points for us today which gives us a good start to the second half of the season.
