Match report A convincing win from the 3rds this week, with good performances all round. The skipper lost the toss and was put into bat on a hot and humid day. Nufail opened and hit a fine 54. After the loss of 3 quick wickets Arshad (38) and Rifas (49) built a good partnership with Rifas punishing any loose balls to the boundary. Another 3 quick wickets fell to leave Pat Daniels (22no) and the skipper (53no) who put on an unbroken 95 partnership, to take the score to 284-6, declaring after 43 overs. In their reply they could not handle the pace and accuracy of Harry (2-18) and Arshad (4-10). They only had 10 players so it was left to Nufail to take the last 3 wickets, to finish with 3-14. 2 good catches each from Kevin and Pat behind the stumps and we had bowled them out for 66 in the 21st over. A great result and performance, which we now need to continue to the end of the season.
