Match report Bradfield visited the Goosecroft on a warm, sunny day. The wicket was still slightly damp after the previous days persistent showers.
Bradfield lost the toss and the Potters skipper elected to bat first. A solid start was made with Pete and Julian putting on 67 for the first wicket. After one wicket fell alot more followed as we found ourselves 7 wickets down with 100 on the board. Some useful runs from the skipper and Sam Woodhouse helped the total with the Potters ending on 137 for 8 from their 40 overs.
A gorgeous tea was taken before Bradfield began their chase. The Bradfield openers looked confident with a flurry of boundaries coming. A lucky breakthrough was made when the opening batsman Abdul hit his own wicket when he was on 44. The Potters then took a few quick wickets. The fiery Robbie Jeffery was reintroduced to the attack and ripped 2 more out including the Bradfield skipper Jamie Stansfield. Bradfield eventually fell 25 runs short as they were all out for 112.
Special mention to under 15 keeper Dan Bernie who took 2 excellent catches on his adult debut.
