Match report The Potters Sunday XI travelled to the foothills of the Berkshire Downs for their latest friendly match against Blewbury & Wallingford. On a glorious day the Blewbury skipper won the toss and elected to bat, the Potters feared a long, hot afternoon in the field but this was soon discounted as Robert Clarke had Dean Hadley got at mid-wicket second ball of the innings. Vikram Kamath got a deserved wicket as he bowled the Blewbury number three for 11. Sam Woodhouse bowled well and claimed the vital wicket of Warman for 37 and then the skipper Wigley who holed out to deep square leg where Pete Rackley took the catch. Blewbury were soon dismissed for 82 in 24.4 overs. Pete Rackley and Ashley Hilier opened and put on 60 for the first wicket when Ash chased a wide one and was well caught by the 'keeper for 14. Pete and Kieran Barrett saw us home with Pete ending on 38 not out and Kieran on 13 to clinch a nine wicket victory.
