Match report Purley on Thames Sunday XI entertained West London touring side, Northfields on a bright day at the Goosecroft. Northfields won the toss and elected to field. The opening pair of James Measham and Robbie Jeffery put on 50 for the first wicket before James was bowled for 22. Purley soon found themselves 117 for 3 as Bilal Hasan and Julian Fernando fell in the teens. A 60 run partnership between Robbie and George Wheeler was added before George was caught for 21. Robbie Jeffery completed his maiden hundred for Purley with a couple of singles but that was after hitting 15 fours and 2 sixes, he was out soon after for 102, a few lusty blows from Bahi Selveratnam at the end took the Purley total to 236 for 7 off 40 overs. George Wheeler and Paul Reber were the pick of the Purley bowlers with 2 for 18 and 2 for 16 respectively as Northfields struggled to get close to 237. Nufail and Jeff Hinds chipped in with a wicket apiece as they finally fell 52 runs short on 184 for 6 off 40 overs. Great Stuff from Robbie and a well deserved 100 was finally realised.
