Match report Woolhampton were the visitors to the Goosecroft on a warm but overcast afternoon. Woolhampton skipper, Dan Breadmore won the toss and elected to field. Purley got off to a flyer with an opening stand of 108 before Pete Rackley was stumped for 31. This brought Robbie Jeffery to the crease fresh from his hundred the previous week and he and James Measham put on 126 for the second wicket when James was caught for 111, his highest score of the season to date. Robbie hit 16 fours in his 89 but going for his 17th he was well caught on the long on boundary by Richard Leach with the score on 264. Brothers Andrew and Robert Clarke saw Purley to a challenging total of 280 for 5. After a fantastic tea, Purley took to the field and made quick inroads into Woolhampton reducing them to 36 for 4 with three of the wickets to U15s Harry Russell (2) and Alex Duggan, one to a slightly over 15 in Vikram Kamath. Morgan and Gressom got into the Purley attack and put on 61 for the fifth wicket when Morgan was bowled by Robert Clarke. The danger men of Gressom and Mike Hanham saw Woolhampton to 138 when Gressom was bowled by Robbie Jeffery for 56. Mike Hanham was last out for 52 as Woolhampton fell 92 short on 188 all out.
