Match report Purley on Thames Sunday XI hosted an injury hit Mortimer at the Goosecroft. Mortimer won the toss and elected to bat but were soon in trouble as Robbie Jeffery had Mike Bradbury well caught at second slip by Andrew Clarke and then he bowled Ian Brown in the firs over. Jameel Khan weighed in with three and when Luke Wilkinson had May lbw for 24, Mortimer had slipped to 34 for 8. A rearguard action was finally halted as young Sam Poulter had Thorne trapped lbw. Luke Wilkinson finally finished them off as they were all out for 102. Purley were soon on top after a fantastic tea as George Wheeler hit several lusty blows to go to 64 not out which included the winning hit for 4 as Purley raced to a nine wicket victory in just 14 overs.
