Match report Cuxham visited the Goosecroft for the first time on Sunday. On a warm day and greenish looking wicket they won the toss and elected to bat. At the beginning they made slow and steady progress against some good bowling by Mridul Mathur and James Measham but Purley were unable to make a breakthrough. Rob Palmer also bowled tidily without success and it wasn't until Robbie Jeffery was brought into the attack that Purley got a breakthrough and after seven overs his figures were 3 for 9. Youngsters Arjun Mathur and Alex Duggan bowled very well with Alex taking two wickets thanks to a stumping and catch by U15 Luke Fifield who kept for the first time in an adult match and performed very well. Cuxham made 115 for 6 from 35 overs. After another fantastic Purley tea Pete Rackley and U14 Arjuna opened the batting, Arjuna played some great shots before he was caught at slip for 16. Andrew Clarke followed up his 79 from Saturday with 57 not out as him and Pete (36 not out) saw Purley home to a nine wicket win.
