Match report Purley on Thames 1st XI started their league campaign away at Fleet. The Potters bowled 1st and kept things tight from the start, however wickets were hard to come by. Fleet batted well and reached 205-5 off their 52 overs. All the bowlers showed excellent discipline and were well backed up by some electric fielding. Arshad Mohammed was the pick with 2-27 off his 9 overs. In reply Purley got off to a stuttering start, before the skipper Paul Reber showred things up with a good 59. A few wickets left James Denton and Alex Clough at the crease who showed determination to see off the last few overs and earn the Potters a draw. Good performance from the whole team, lets turn it into more points next week.
