Match report A good return to winning ways today with a brilliant bowling and fielding performance. The skipper had the usual start of losing his third toss in a row. Welford put us in to bat. We were 68-4 when Rob (14) joined a one-legged Luke. Luke pulled a thigh muscle scampering a single to get off the mark. He had a runner but batted superbly for his 31. Him and Rob put on a very useful 47. Useful contributions from youngsters James Mugford (11) and Sam Poulter (11) took us to 146 all out. A score that was below par but gave us something to bowl at. We bowled and fielded superb right from the start. Harry Bell (3-19) and Adam Khan (2-5) put early pressure on, then Sam Woodhouse (3-18), Tom Purser (1-28) and Kev Denton (1-13) also bowled well. Sam took two catches, one excellent one at cover. We bowled them out for 86 to win by 62 runs. A great effort from the boys.
