Match report A disappointing defeat for the boys in the first game of the season. Reading won the toss and chose to field. Max Baker-Smith (26) and Tom Wheeler (21) batted well but we lost wickets too frequently, and finished with 114-8, which was probably 20 runs short of a par score. They batted well at the beginning with opener Holmes scoring a fine 58. Unfortunately Tom Wheeler bowled one over that had two no balls and two wides with Holmes dispatching both the no balls for 6's. The one over of 35 runs from it was difficult to recover from, although we did take 6 wickets to put them under a bit of pressure towards the end. James Denton was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-1-11-2.
