Match report Another disappointing defeat but we fought a lot harder this week in a close game. They won the toss and put us in. The top order all got going with Gavin (41), Nufail (20), Pahi (38) and Rob (22) taking us to a good total of 124 at the halfway stage. A score of 250 looked on the cards but only youngsters James Mugford (35) and Sam Poulter (16no) played well in the lower order. We were bowled out in the 43rd over for 200. In their reply they got off to a great start and had reached 70 before we took the first wicket. We never really put them under pressure with a cluster of wickets, but they only reached their target in the first of the two extra overs we gave them for not completing ours. Junees bowled well with 3-31, and also took a good catch, and a direct hit run-out. The skipper took 3 catches behind the stumps but we were about 25-30 runs short of making it a bit more difficult for them to chase.
