Mortimer v Purley on Thames CC Midweek on Wed 04 May 2016 at 1800
Purley on Thames CC Won by 16 runs
Match report
A good start to the midweek campaign. After a solid start by George Wheeler and James Measham we struggled to get going on a sponge of a pitch at Mortimer. A few lusty blows from Andrew Clarke at the end got us to 90 for 7 off 12 overs. Mortimer got off to a slow start as tight bowling from Paul Reber and Barry Carter tied them down and they were always behind the run rate from then. Cyril Cox was the pick of the bowlers as he took four for 16 to ensure a 16 run victory.
