Match report Lost toss saw us field first in the first game of the 2021 season.
An early wicket for Owen caught by Atif got us off the a good start, however MWE recovered well with a partnership for the second wicket that took them past 100 at 20 overs.
Richard put the brakes on the scoring (8 overs 0 / 21) and with this pressure applied wickets started to fall.
Alan took a hat-trick of catches - Jude with two wickets (2 / 35) and the spin of Atif (3 / 31) and Tejpal (3 / 3) saw MWE all out 155.
An excellent fielding performance encapsulated by Rob Palmer's early cover stop setting the standard.
In reply lusty blows from Tejpal (29) got us off to a flying start, forties for Adam who carried his bat for 20 overs (41 not out) and a cameo of big hitting from Rifas (42 not out) saw us home in good time (and just before the rain arrived).
Excellent start made to 2021
