Match report The 3s continued their form from 2022 with a 7 wicket win over Kidmore End 4s in their first game in TVL
Purley won toss (thankfully) and Kidmore were asked to bat, two early wickets for the skipper (both caught well at slip and keeper) set the tone. Rowan was introduced into the attack in the 9th over, an opening over double wicket maiden plus a smart run out in his first adult game was a fantastic debut. Save for stubborn 8th wicket partnership wickets fell regularly and Kidmore were all out for 99. Nick 4 / 5 and Rowan 3 /32 the standout figures.
In reply we reached 19 before losing first wicket (Adam 13) at which point Anwar picked up the pace, four 6s and two 4s in a quick fire 39 moved us to 61 /2 before Jacob (14*) and Pahi (17*) saw us home with 20 overs to spare.
An excellent team effort and so good to be playing cricket again UTP
