Match report Threes took their winning run to 7 games with a fine 6 wicket win at home to Binfield.
On a wicket with some variable bounce and with humid conditions promoting prodigious swing the toss was won by Purley and Binfield were asked to bat.
A stubborn opening partnership was broken when Lee took a smart catch (the first of four) off Nick’s bowling (2/27) and Sam (1/34) then found his radar to remove their other opener with an inswinging yorker.
From that point in the game wickets fell at regular intervals, standout bowling Richard (4/5), Matt (2/1) and Rowan (1/32).
In reply we lost Anwar early, but with Ben (25) anchoring one end our other batsmen had licence to play their shots, Alan (14) and Satish (15) fell as the score accelerated and it was left to Pahi (36*) and Lee (11*) to see us home.
