Match report A huge well done to the team this evening - we beat Emmbrook & Bearwood in the 1/4 final of the U13 cup.

We batted first and made 111 - to be honest I thought that was 20-30 runs short. Some good batting contributions from Jamie Hill and Ben Alexander, backed up well by Josh Newman and Rupert Mullenger. At the end we lost a few quick wickets chasing a few extra runs, but that was as planned.

When we bowled, the bowlers decided themselves to take the pace off and we saw a lot of good slow bowling. Jamie Hill bowled excellently (player of the match again) with 4 wickets, with a wicket for Ollie Allum as well as cup debutant Arnav Jain.

Ruwayd bowled very well at the death, as did Naman and restricted the run scoring opportunities.

Captain Naman Sharma did an excellent job and arranged the field intelligently. Naman also took a wicket. Our behaviour in the field was also very good and respectful against the opposition. Great job.

We won by 13, despite a late rally by Emmbrook, we held on and now have a semi-final at Purley against Wokingham to fit in.
