An enjoyable game against Mortimer and West End who were playing their first ever walking cricket match.

Batting first the Potterers struggled initially to post runs suffering 2 early run outs. Martin Sweeney (5) and Julie Cook (10) opened the innings with 25 run partnership - steady batting by Nigel Weller (22) and Martin Bishop (17) batted well to consolidate the innings being undeafeated for a partnership of 38 taking the total to 70 before some powerful hitting and good running from Stewart Waight(27), Colin Ainger and Richard Will 26 each pushed the total to a reasonable 203 for 8 net 163.

The target proved too much for our visitors who struggled to 119 for 12 wickets - Mark Allen subbing for the opposition scored 20. Good bowling and fielding limited Mortimer and West Ends innings - with best bowling from Bob Dawkins (1 for 3 runs off 2 overs),Nigel Weller (2 overs for 9 runs), Julie Cook (2 for 4 off 2 overs), Martin Bishop (2 for 16 off 2 overs) and Richard Will (3 for 27 of 2 hectic overs).
