On a lovely bright morning Falkland won the toss and asked the Potterers captain for the day Pete to bat on what looked like a perfect pitch. Opening the innings Chris Larsen (10) and Greg Santoro Fergusson (13) got us off to a steady start against some good bowling from the home side. Jill Larsen (7) and Martin Bishop (23) upped the rate as the Potterers looked to push on. Again Jeff Russell (12) and Richard Amos (19) maintained our steady progress. Bob Dawkins (21) with his highest score to date and skipper Pete (13) took the score to 118 at the end of their 4 overs batting setting us up for an explosive final undefeated partnership of 42 between Gary (26) and Martin Sweeney (16) to set a good target of 160. A good batting performance overall.

In reply, Falkland got off to a good start but were always behind the rate required as all the Potterers bowlers bowled well to restrict the scoring. Excellent Potterers outfielding resulted in 3 run outs as the home side looked for runs. Skipper Pete finished off the innings with 3 wickets in the final over which underlined a good victory for the Potterers.

Player of the day was awarded to Jill Larsen for a good wicket keeping performance and her highest score to date of 7 not out.
