Match report Reading 4 arrived at Yattendon with a much changed lineup from our fixture earlier in season and determined to end our winning run. It wasn’t to be, toss won and Reading inserted and we were soon in the wickets.
A super catch by Rowan at square leg set the tone for an all round outstanding fielding display and backed by sharp catches (Anwar, Satish, Lee, Ben) Sam (3/21) and Nick (5/13) tore through their innings - at 33/8 it looked like game would be done in a couple of hours, but a rearguard effort saw them all out 79.
Anwar (32) led an aggressive chase and with support from Satish (10) and Alan (16*) we were quickly to the target.
Winning run of 13 league games now sees us 44 points clear at the top of the league with two games to go.
